So there wasn’t a new version of iLife announced today but Apple did announce two products that will probably have a big effect on videoblogging later this year. The new iPhone has a 480 X 320 screen allowing widescreen video to fill the screen when you turn it sideways and Apple TV supports 720p HD video. If videobloggers desire to create videos that play on the current iPod is any guide, you’ll be seeing more widescreen and HD feeds as these things become available (can you say business deduction?).

So… the big question is… is it time for vloggers to start upping resolution to say 480 pixels wide or so? And should vloggers start focusing on a the widescreen format. I think many already doo.

The big question for me on the Apple TV, is how will the USB connector be used. I very much hope that Apple will support an external disk drive, because y media library is far larger than 40 GB, and even though you can tell it ot sync only part of your library, it would be very nice to sync the entire library as a back up of your current library.

    just my thoughts,
